"Courses" means any online course, programme, workshop, learning pathway, live session, or distance learning content offered by the College.

"Course Materials" means videos, text, downloads, workbooks, templates, slides, recordings, assessments, forums, badges, certificates, and any other learning resources provided as part of a Course.

"Digital Products" means downloadable or electronically delivered items such as guides, templates, workbooks, toolkits, prompts, and similar non-tangible products.

"Subscription" means an optional paid access arrangement that provides access for a fixed period of 6 months or 12 months, as agreed at the time of purchase.

"Merchandise" means physical goods such as apparel, mugs, and printed items fulfilled by third-party partners (for example Printify).

"Order" means your purchase of a Course, Subscription, Digital Product, and/or Merchandise.

"HelixOneGlobal" means the College's umbrella organisation (www.helixoneglobal.com).

"You", "your", "Learner" means the individual purchasing, accessing, or using our services.

2. Eligibility and age requirement

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 or over only. By placing an Order or creating an Account, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

3. Orders, pricing, and payment

Your Order is accepted once payment is successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation (typically by email).

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect confirmed Orders.

Payments are processed by secure third-party providers. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank or payment provider (including currency conversion fees).

Where applicable, taxes, duties, and similar charges may apply and will be shown at checkout where required.

Non-payment and failed payments. Access to Courses, Subscriptions, and Digital Products is conditional upon successful payment in full. If payment is not received, fails, is declined, reversed, or charged back, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or block access to your Account and any associated Courses or services until payment is resolved. We may also cancel your Order entirely. No access will be granted or restored until full payment has been confirmed.

4. Account registration and security

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering or placing an Order.

You must keep your login details confidential and are responsible for all activity carried out under your Account.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your Account has been accessed without authorisation.

Account inactivity. If your Account remains inactive (no login or activity) for a continuous period of 24 months or more, we reserve the right to close and delete your Account and associated data, subject to any legal retention requirements. We will attempt to notify you at your registered email address before doing so. Closure of an inactive Account does not entitle you to any refund.

5. Courses: access, duration, completion, certificates, and badges

Access delivery. Access details are normally provided within 24 hours of successful payment (often sooner).

Personal access only. Course access is personal to you and must not be shared, transferred, resold, or provided to any other person.

Access period. Each Course purchase includes a fixed access period, which is stated on the Course sales page. Access periods typically range from 90 days to 180 days depending on the Course length and complexity. If no access period is stated, the default is 90 days from the date of enrolment (the date access is granted).

Access expiry. Once your access period expires, you will no longer be able to access the Course or its materials. If you wish to regain access after your access period has expired, you must repurchase the Course at the then-current price.

Completion window. You are responsible for completing learning activities and assessments within your access period.

Extensions. Extensions are not guaranteed and may be granted only in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

Certificates and digital badges

Where a Course offers certification, you will receive a Course Completion Certificate once you have met the Course requirements, including achieving at least the stated pass mark in the final assessment.

Pass marks are stated on the relevant Course page and/or within the Course. Pass marks typically fall within the 60% to 80% range depending on the Course.

Some Courses may also provide digital badges (in addition to, or instead of, a certificate). Where offered, badges are issued digitally via your Account or the platform specified in the Course.

Our Courses are legitimate educational programmes designed to support professional development. Where a Course leads to a professional licence, regulated status, or formal external accreditation, this will be stated explicitly on the Course sales page and/or in the Course documentation.

6. Assessments and retakes

Ongoing assessments. Most Courses are assessed on an ongoing quiz basis throughout the learning materials. These quizzes form part of your continuous learning and may be retaken as needed during your access period.

Formal examinations. Where a Course includes a formal final examination, you are entitled to one free retake if you do not achieve the required pass mark on your first attempt. This retake must be arranged in agreement with the College.

Additional retakes. Retakes beyond the one free attempt may incur additional charges. These will be confirmed by the College at the time of request.

7. Subscriptions (optional 6 or 12 month access)

Not obligatory. Subscriptions are optional and are not required to purchase or complete individual Courses.

On-demand arrangement and additional fee. Subscriptions may be arranged on demand and are charged at an additional fee. The scope and term are confirmed at purchase.

Term. Subscription access is provided for either 6 months or 12 months from the date access is granted, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Scope of access. The Courses and/or resources included in a Subscription are the ones specified in your Order confirmation, the Subscription page, or in writing from us.

Interaction with 90-day access. If you hold an active Subscription that includes a Course you enrol on, your access to that Course will be the longer of (a) the standard 90-day Course access period, or (b) the remaining Subscription term, unless we specify otherwise.

Non-transferability. Subscription access is personal to you and cannot be shared or transferred.

8. Digital Products: delivery and access

Digital Products are delivered electronically (for example via download link, email, or Account access).

Unless stated otherwise, Digital Products do not expire once delivered.

Digital Products are licensed for your personal use only unless we explicitly state a different licence at the point of sale.

Waiver of cancellation rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel distance purchases. However, by purchasing a Digital Product and requesting immediate access or delivery, you expressly consent to the Digital Product being provided to you immediately. You acknowledge that once the Digital Product has been delivered or made available to you (including via download link, email, or Account access), you lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel and your purchase is final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

9. Gift purchases

You may purchase a Course or Digital Product as a gift for another person, provided the recipient is aged 18 or over.

When purchasing a gift, you must provide the recipient's name and email address. The recipient will receive access details and will be required to create their own Account and accept these Terms before accessing the Course or Digital Product.

Gift purchases are non-refundable once access details have been sent to the recipient, regardless of whether the recipient has activated their access.

The purchaser remains responsible for payment. The recipient is bound by all terms relating to use, behaviour, and intellectual property.

10. Corporate and group licences

These Terms apply to individual learners purchasing for their own use or as a gift.

If you wish to purchase Courses or access for multiple employees, teams, or group enrolments on behalf of a business, organisation, or institution, please contact us to discuss a corporate or group licence agreement. Such arrangements are subject to separate terms and pricing.

11. Promotional codes and discounts

From time to time, we may offer promotional codes, discounts, or special offers.

Unless stated otherwise at the time of the promotion: promotional codes are for single use only and cannot be used more than once per customer; codes cannot be combined with other offers or discounts; codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money; codes may be subject to expiry dates and minimum purchase requirements; and we reserve the right to withdraw or modify any promotion at any time without notice.

If a promotional code is used fraudulently or in breach of its terms, we reserve the right to cancel the Order or charge the full price.

12. Statutory cancellation rights, refunds, and immediate access acknowledgement

Your statutory cancellation right

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel distance purchases, including purchases of digital content. This 14-day period begins on the day after you receive your order confirmation.

Waiver of cancellation right for digital content

However, for digital content (including Course Materials, Subscriptions, and Digital Products), you may lose this cancellation right if you give express consent to begin accessing the content immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel.

By clicking "Buy Now", "Pay Now", "Enrol Now", "I Accept", "I have read the Terms and Conditions", or any equivalent action indicating purchase/enrolment, and by making payment, you:

  • confirm that you have read and understood these Terms;

  • expressly request and consent to immediate access to the relevant digital content and services before the 14-day cancellation period expires;

  • acknowledge that by requesting immediate access, you lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel once access to the digital content is provided.

No refunds once access is provided

Due to the nature of digital content, once you have been granted access to Course Materials, a Subscription, or a Digital Product (including where content is available to view, stream, or download), your purchase is final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Once access is provided, we do not offer refunds because you changed your mind, did not complete within the access period, forgot login details, or experienced technical issues on your side (for example incompatible devices or poor internet connection).

If (exceptionally) access has not been granted and no Digital Product has been delivered, you may contact us promptly with your Order details and we will review your request in line with applicable consumer law.

Refund processing time

Where a refund is due (for example, for Merchandise issues or exceptional circumstances under applicable law), we aim to process the refund within 28 working days, though it may be completed sooner.

Duplicate or accidental purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same Course twice, or purchase a Course you have already completed, please contact us promptly (within 7 days of the duplicate purchase). Provided access to the duplicate has not been used, we will at our discretion either issue a refund or provide credit towards another Course of equivalent value.

13. Merchandise: fulfilment, returns, refunds, and shipping

Merchandise is produced and fulfilled by third-party fulfilment partners (for example Printify).

Refunds or replacements are available only if the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. You must report the issue within 14 days of delivery, providing clear photos and your order details.

All other Merchandise sales are final and non-refundable.

International shipping may incur customs duties, taxes, handling fees, and/or delivery delays. These are your responsibility.

14. Acceptable behaviour and community standards

You must behave respectfully and lawfully in all learning spaces, including comments, forums, communities, and live sessions. You must not:

  • harass, abuse, threaten, discriminate against, or intimidate staff, learners, or other platform users;

  • scam, defraud, impersonate, mislead, exploit, or attempt to take advantage of other users of the platform, including soliciting payments, posting malicious links, or misrepresenting identity or credentials;

  • cheat, submit plagiarised work, or attempt to circumvent Course requirements or assessment rules; or

  • attempt to hack, disrupt, scrape, or damage our systems or those of our service providers.

Breaches may result in suspension or termination of access without refund where permitted by law.

15. Online groups, communities, and chat

Learners may have the opportunity to participate in online groups, forums, or chat facilities related to Courses.

College-organised communities. Where the College organises or hosts online groups or chat facilities, these may not always be actively moderated. The College does not accept responsibility for content posted by learners in these spaces that does not come to our attention. If you become aware of offensive, harmful, or inappropriate behaviour in College-organised communities, please report it to us immediately.

Third-party or learner-organised groups. Where online groups or communities are organised by third parties or by learners themselves (rather than by the College), these are entirely independent of the College and the College has no responsibility for their content, administration, or conduct.

16. Intellectual property and ownership

All rights in the Courses, Course Materials, Digital Products, badges, certificates, branding, and website content are owned by The Future Skills College and/or HelixOneGlobal, or our licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use Course Materials and Digital Products for your own learning and personal use during the applicable access period.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, resell, licence, rent, broadcast, publicly perform, share logins, share files, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

No sharing on social media or online forums. Course Materials, including but not limited to videos, documents, workbooks, templates, slides, assessments, and any other learning resources, must not be shared, posted, uploaded, or distributed on social media platforms, online forums, file-sharing sites, messaging groups, or any other public or semi-public online spaces. This applies whether the materials are shared in full or in part, and whether or not attribution is given.

Protection of logos, badges, and certificates. The College's logos, branding, digital badges, and certificates are protected intellectual property. You must not copy, reproduce, alter, forge, distribute, or disseminate our logos, badges, or certificates to third parties. Certificates and badges are issued to individual learners only and must not be shared, sold, or transferred. Any attempt to forge, falsify, or misrepresent a certificate or badge, or to use our logos or branding without authorisation, is strictly prohibited.

The College reserves the right to pursue legal action against any individual or organisation that copies, forges, distributes, or misuses our logos, badges, certificates, or other intellectual property.

Unauthorised use may result in removal of access and legal action.

17. Learner submissions

You retain ownership of original content you submit (for example assignments, comments, or questions).

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your submissions solely for operating and improving the Courses, providing feedback, maintaining learning records, and safeguarding the community.

You confirm you have the right to submit your content and it does not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful material.

18. Course content updates and retirement

Right to update. We reserve the right to update, modify, or improve Course content at any time to ensure it remains current, accurate, and relevant.

Changes during your access period. If we make substantial changes to a Course while you have active access, we will provide you with a PDF copy of the previous version of the Course content for your records. You will also be granted free access to the updated Course.

Course retirement. If we decide to retire or remove a Course from our catalogue, we will provide at least 4 weeks' notice where practicable, allowing learners with active access to complete their studies.

19. Third-party links and resources

Our website, Courses, and Course Materials may contain links to third-party websites, resources, or services for your convenience or reference.

These third-party sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party websites or resources. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site or its operator.

You access third-party sites at your own risk and should review their terms and privacy policies before use.

20. Testimonials, reviews, and feedback

We may invite you to provide testimonials, reviews, ratings, or feedback about your experience with the College and our Courses.

If you provide a testimonial or review, you grant us permission to use it (including your first name, location, and any photo you provide) in our marketing materials, website, social media, and promotional content. We may edit testimonials for length or clarity, but will not alter the overall meaning.

If you do not wish your testimonial to be used, or would like it removed, please contact us and we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe.

We may also use anonymised and aggregated feedback to improve our Courses and services without requiring individual consent.

Photography and filming at on-site events

Where a Course, workshop, or event is held on-site (in person), photography and filming may take place for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes.

All photographs, videos, and recordings taken at on-site events are the property of The Future Skills College and/or HelixOneGlobal.

By attending and participating in an on-site event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded, and to the use of such images and recordings in our promotional materials, website, social media, marketing content, and educational resources.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you should not attend the on-site event, or you should ensure you are not in frame during any photography or filming (for example, by not posing for group photos, stepping aside during filming, or notifying the event organiser of your preference in advance so that reasonable efforts can be made to accommodate your request).

We cannot guarantee that you will not appear incidentally in photographs or footage if you choose to attend. By attending, you accept this possibility.

21. Technical requirements and support

You are responsible for ensuring you have compatible devices, software, and a reliable internet connection.

We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, browser, or configuration.

Technical support is provided on a best-effort basis and may be limited by third-party platform constraints.

22. Accessibility

We are committed to making our Courses and services as accessible as possible. If you have a disability or access requirement, please contact us to discuss your needs.

We will consider reasonable adjustments within the scope of the technology and platforms we use. While we cannot guarantee that all adjustments will be possible, we will work with you in good faith to support your learning where we can.

23. Disclaimers

Educational and informational purposes only

All Courses, Digital Products, publications, and other materials provided by the College are for educational, informational, and guidance purposes only.

No guarantee of outcomes. The College does not promise, guarantee, or imply any specific outcome, result, or benefit from completing a Course or using our materials. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • employment, job offers, interviews, or career advancement;

  • promotion, salary increase, or improved earnings;

  • business success, revenue, clients, or commercial results;

  • professional qualifications, licences, or regulatory status (unless explicitly stated on the Course page);

  • personal transformation, lifestyle changes, or specific life outcomes; or

  • any other specific result or benefit.

Outcomes depend entirely on individual effort, circumstances, application of learning, market conditions, and factors beyond the College's control. Completing a Course does not entitle you to any particular outcome.

No professional advice. Course content does not constitute professional financial, legal, tax, medical, psychological, or other regulated advice. Our courses are designed to provide general education and skills development. You should always consult appropriately qualified professionals for advice specific to your individual circumstances before making financial, legal, health, or other significant decisions. The College and its instructors are not liable for any decisions you make or actions you take based on Course content.

We aim to keep content accurate and relevant, but we do not guarantee completeness or that content will always reflect the latest developments in every field.

By enrolling in a Course or purchasing a Digital Product, you acknowledge and accept that you are doing so for your own education and development, with no expectation of any guaranteed outcome.

24. Suspension, termination, and access removal

We may suspend or terminate your Account and/or access if you breach these Terms (including behaviour and intellectual property rules).

Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund where permitted by law.

You may stop using our services at any time, but stopping use does not create a right to a refund once access has been provided.

25. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an Order is limited to the amount you paid for that specific Order (or where required, up to the total paid by you to us in the 12 months before the claim arose).

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, opportunity, reputational damage, or wasted time.

We are not liable for interruptions or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (see Section 29).

26. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Future Skills College, HelixOneGlobal, and our officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • your breach of these Terms;

  • your violation of any applicable law or regulation;

  • your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party;

  • any content you submit, post, or share through our services; or

  • your unauthorised sharing, distribution, or reproduction of Course Materials.

This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your Account and these Terms.

27. Communications and marketing

Course-related communications. By purchasing a Course, Subscription, or Digital Product, you consent to receiving communications from the College relating to your purchase, your Course, Course Materials, and your learning progress. These communications are necessary for the delivery of our services.

Newsletter and blog. Learners may voluntarily register to receive the College newsletter and blog updates. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time. Your details are processed in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

28. Privacy and data protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law (including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018) and applicable international privacy laws.

What data we collect. We collect personal data you provide when registering, purchasing, or using our services, including your name, email address, payment information, and learning activity data.

How we use your data. We use personal data for account management, course administration, learner support, certification and badge issuance, order fulfilment, service delivery, fraud prevention, and to comply with legal obligations. Where you have consented, we may also use your data for marketing communications.

Legal basis for processing. We process your data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract (to deliver the Courses and services you have purchased); (b) legitimate interests (to improve our services, prevent fraud, and ensure security); (c) consent (for marketing communications and testimonials); and (d) legal obligation (where required by law).

Data sharing. We do not sell personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers only as necessary to deliver services (for example payment processors, learning platforms, email providers, and fulfilment partners) or where required by law. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

International transfers. Some of our service providers may be located outside the UK. Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

Data retention. We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Learning records and certificates may be retained indefinitely to support verification requests.

Your rights. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); object to or restrict certain processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent). To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 34.

Complaints. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.

Our full Privacy Policy is available on our website and provides further detail on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

29. Payment security

Payments and requests for financial information will only ever be sent through official College email addresses and our authorised payment processors (including PayPal).

If you receive any communication requesting payment or financial details that you believe may not be genuine, do not respond or make any payment. Instead, contact the College directly to verify the request before taking any action.

30. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including major technical failures, power outages, internet failures, natural disasters, war, pandemics, strikes, or government actions.

31. Complaints and dispute resolution

Making a complaint. If you have a complaint, please contact us by email, marking your message "Complaint" in the subject line. We take all complaints seriously and will acknowledge receipt promptly.

Internal resolution. We aim to resolve complaints within 30 working days. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction at first instance, it will be escalated to the College's leadership in accordance with our internal complaints procedure.

Alternative Dispute Resolution. If we are unable to resolve your complaint through our internal process, you may be able to refer the matter to an external Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Details of relevant ADR schemes will be provided upon request or at the conclusion of our internal complaints process.

32. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

33. General provisions

Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.

Waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent.

Business transfer. If The Future Skills College or HelixOneGlobal is sold, merged, or transferred to another organisation, your Account, personal data, and rights under these Terms may be transferred to the new owner or operator. The new owner will assume our obligations under these Terms. We will notify you of any such transfer where practicable.

Third-party rights. No third party has any rights under these Terms.

Entire agreement. These Terms and any documents expressly referenced form the entire agreement between you and us.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

34. Contact

For questions, support, or complaints, contact us via our website support system or email: support@futureskillscollege.com. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Part C: Subscription Addendum (Sales Page / Invoice Text)

Optional subscription access

We offer optional subscriptions that provide access for a period of 6 months or 12 months. Subscriptions are not obligatory and are arranged on demand at an additional fee. The scope of what is included (for example, specific courses or a defined course library) will be confirmed at the point of purchase in your order confirmation.
